SVMC opened in 1918 and started as a small 30 bed hospital. In over 100 years the hospital has grown to 99 beds and several satellite buildings. NCMI completed a mechanical insulation energy appraisal and sent it off to Efficiency Vermont who provided a rebate for the six figure project.
In Q4 of 2020 NCMI was engaged in several projects and was looking to partner with a company that made removable jackets for valves, steam traps, check valves etc. Working with Thermaxx eased the workload for our installers as handmaking removables onsite is time consuming. This allowed our installers to focus on the pipe covering/equipment rather than spends hundreds of hours handmaking these removables.
For the initial phase of the project, we focused on the major areas, bare piping and equipment like condensate tanks or pump boxes, as well as repairing insulation with ASJ paper that was falling off or insulation that had been damaged over time. We worked in the following mechanical spaces:
We’re pleased to be kicking off a phase 2 of the project in 2021
