Eric Simpson
Director of Preconstruction &
Business Development / Energy Consultant
My experience with mechanical insulation began in high school working for a family friend who owned Damon Insulation in Bow, NH. I began working in the warehouse and transitioned to the field where I gained on-the-job training, boom and scissor lift certification as well as my OSHA 10. I worked for Damon as I attended school and transitioned to college, working summer and winter breaks and whenever I could.
My studies brought me to Vermont where I attended St. Michael’s College and began working for NCMI as a field installer on school breaks and Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and whenever my school schedule would allow. After several months in the field I transitioned to an internship in the office overseeing small jobs, networking, direct to customer sales, social media, and the overall development the business. When I graduated in May of 2017 with a BS in Business Administration, I was offered the position of Business Development Officer.
Currently I wear many ‘hats’ at NCMI. Some days I find myself on the job site operating as a ‘Pre-Construction Project Manager’ as well as ‘Energy and Sustainability Consultant.’ As a certified Mechanical Insulation Energy Appraiser, I perform Insulation Energy Appraisals for companies throughout New England and the surrounding area performing facility walk-throughs where I evaluate facilities current level of insulation and run calculations to determine how much energy is being lost with their current system.
