Cottage Hospital is a 35-bed hospital located in Woodsville NH. NCMI was hired to remove and replace their rooftop hot water heat piping. The existing insulation had failed because the PVC jacketing had failed over time allowing the underlying fiberglass insulation to become saturated with water, rendering the insulation practically useless. NCMI upgraded the jacketing to .016 embossed aluminum jacketing and caulked every horizontal and vertical seam per facility request. We also used poly-iso insulation and foamglas insulation which still provide a high R-value when wet and will not become saturated because of the nature of the specialty insulation.
