Galvion
Galvion is a manufacturing facility that produces ballistic helmets and protective armor for military applications. They have 6 facilities and are continuing to grow worldwide.
Galvion hired NCMI to insulate the exterior chilled water piping at the facility. We utilized a combination of fiberglass pipe cover and Armaflex closed cell rubber to insulate the PVC piping and used a .020 PVC jacket to protect the underlying insulation from the elements. Chilled water piping requires a complete vapor barrier or the insulation can fail. Extra care is taken at all the joints to ensure the product is sealed completely.
