NCMI Insulated the dual temp piping for the new RTU at Gifford Medical Center. Specs called for poly-iso insulation with .016 metal jacketing. Dual temp piping needs to be treated and sealed the same way as chilled water piping as half of the year the system will be cooling. Extra care must be taken to seal the insulation up for a complete vapor barrier, otherwise, the pipe could still sweat and soak the insulation.
